A reflection

The valley of the shadow of death

I was teenager when things werent going so well with me nor my family. My biological father didnt live with us and my mother and him were separated. He had drinking problems and I was neglected for the most part it felt. And my mother was sick and taking too much medication, which made her distant and she mostly laid in her bed and didnt do much except read novels which did not help her except fill her with thoughts of the world. None came to her, as far as I know, and shared the gospel. But yearly we all went to church and performed our duty so to speak. Yet, to no avail. The pastors were not lukewarm, but I never once witnessed the power of the gospel, the healings and other gifts of the spirit in what was the state-church, The Norwegian Church. Yet, despite being in a dark valley at the time, I also were greatly encouraged by God in this time of despair. I didnt understand it, but My Father in Heaven were with me and sought me. And When The Holy Spirit talked to me that year a fire was lit on the inside. Yet, with no evangelists, no true gospel-followers around me it took 18 years before I received Jesus Christ as my savior and Master. There truly is NO other under heaven nor in Heaven which by we can enter Heaven but Jesus Christ of Nazareth. None. Psalm 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
